beside still waters

by wayne benedet
Artist Notes
Built in 1897, this home was inhabited until the late 60's by the Sterling family. The house was in immaculate condition, and even though it is relatively inaccessible, and well hidden, it was found by vandals and trashed a number of years ago. The water in the front is part of a water resource project built while the home was still lived in. The image was taken from the top of the dam which serves to provide water management and wild life habitat preservation. My thanks to the owner who gave me permission to enter the land.
