- St Vitus Cathedral (Katedrála svatého Víta) is situated within the grounds of Prague Castle, and is the most important church in the country. There has been church on the site since 925AD. Work started on the Gothic Cathedral you see today in the mid 14th century, but not finished until almost 600 years later. This picture shows a metal decoration in front of a colourful stained glass window.
