Artist Notes: The undeniable highpoint - literally and figuratively - of the Annapurna Circuit is the high pass of Thorung La, which reaches the dizzy heights of 5416 metres above sea level. This picture is of the sign congratulating triumphant trekkers who have just reached the summit. It is almost obscured with lines of Tibetan prayer flags.
