wheel of fate

Artist Notes
Life is a progression, at different stages we have different abilities, needs and desires. At the final stages of our lives, all of this that made us who we are passes away and becomes irrelevant. Like a person, or a life, this old wheel has reached the last stage of its existence. Yet, even though it would be considered "useless" by many, in our usual way of using that term, it still contains great beauty... and as such, just like the elderly people in our lives, they become treasured, valued and useful as they age and loose some of their ability. Life is a progression, we must learn to appreciate all of the stages regardless of the losses. For in each stage, a loss in one area, can mean a gain in another.... if we are astute enough to see it.
