Artist Notes

This house is a bit over 100 years old. It is situated on the edge of a broad valley looking east. These dormers face west across what must have, at one time, been virgin prairie. When I took this picture, I imagined what would have been visible in the late 1800,s. I imagined a couple of children, flat on their tummies, looking west out the dormer. Watching the relentless prairie wind moving like massive waves over the grass, dreaming of cowboys and wagon trains.
