Artist Notes: A popular pastime in Palolem is an early morning boat ride to look for dolphins in the bay. Here a boat proudly flies the Indian flag. In the background you can see another dolphin boat, and the shore at the far side of the bay, covered with palm trees. Palolem, with its beautiful beach and sweeping bay, is in the south of the favourite holiday state of Goa in southern India. Palolem attracts a good mix of domestic, Indian, tourists; holidaymakers from Europe; and backpackers and other long-term stayers. Palolem is renowned for its mile-long crescent-shaped beach.
