A layer of large boulders at the northern end of the sweeping bay at Palolem Beach, alongside the channel between the mainland and Monkey Island. Palolem is in the south of the favourite holiday state of Goa in southern India. Palolem attracts a good mix of domestic, Indian, tourists; holidaymakers from Europe; and backpackers and other long-term stayers. Palolem is renowned for its mile-long crescent-shaped beach.
