- The Napoleon wrasse is known by many names, including Maori wrasse, humphead wrasse and Napoleonfish. Males can grow up to two metres long, and live for 25 years; females grow as long as one metre, and live for around 30 years. Their diet includes shellfish, sea stars, sea urchins and crabs, and they eat a number of toxic creatures, which makes them an essential link in the underwater food chain.
