© 2011 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved ________________________________________________________________________________ Solitaire ________________________________________________________________________________ Coffee for one in the morning, bed alone in the dark, stumbling solo along the path that stretches endlessly before me – not the life I bargained for! Some days I fear I will evaporate into nothingness if I can't pour something of myself into the willing heart of another. The sweet soft touch of a lover, warm breath on my neck, eyes locking in perfect comprehension, hands meeting, clasping, releasing and meeting again, the dance of the spirit that nourishes and renews. I do not have that – any of it. I want it; I need it. But with whom? It may be that it is too late. I shuffle the deck and wonder in the twilight. ~ © 2011 Regina Coeli deWinter
