When a Jewish boy is 13, he celebrates his Bar Mitzvah, which signals the beginning of his becoming a man (in the eyes of God and his fellow Jews.) I remember being Bar-Mitzvah'd and knowing that it was a very special day for me. I have strayed from my conformist religious associations, but remain very spiritual and in tough with the earth, the elements, and more Pagan traditions....however, I value and honor my Jewish heritage and all those wonderful people that still remain in my life.
