- a few weeks ago, at the beginning of summer, I decided to take a leisurely walk (with my camera of course) along Queen Street W., heading to Chinatown at Spadina Ave. I really like the area, because its lively nearly 24 hours a day with all sort of activities. Well, I didn’t quite make it Chinatown this day, because I found the atmosphere at the junction quite a photo opportunity…sooooo, here are a few moments of interest…
Oh, this young fella isnt scary as the pose he made for me…
his outfit and accessories caught my vision, and I was excited to make an image of him. I tried to be passive with the camera initially, because I don’t like to do posed photos and offend any subjects, and to get a glimpse of who they are in their space. He had a few other mates who dress the same, and I thought I was in real trouble when they all saw my camera pointing at them. But, a friendly smile re-assured me that it was ok to go ahead and take some snaps. The Queen Street District (really the club district to me) has crowds of similar teens and young adults with their own expressions of fashion and lifestyle.
Limited Edition of 10 prints only.
