Time works its quiet way with no thought to permanence, no respect for craftsmanship, no indulgence for care. Small chinks appear, you see – or no, you don’t, actually – growing, spreading unobserved, unnoticed ‘til decay takes hold and there’s not a thing to do to stop it. We stack our goodness into heaps, our strength shored up and hoarded for the storm with hope that these will hold us through our passage. Building is the dream, saving is the safeguard, living is the journey, but Time is always stronger and eventually it all falls down. ~ © 2011 RC deWinter
