Artist Notes

This is a painting of my beloved nephew, Joshua, when he was about six years old. He is the son of my sister, Barbara Mauritz, singer from Lamb, who was signed with Bill Graham for many years. I gave her the painting, which she treasures. Josh died at age 37, three years ago. He was severely ill, and was transported by ambulance to a San Fransisco hospital. He sat in the emergency room for hours. They didn't even perform a blood test, and sent him home with cough medication. He was taken back to that hospital the next day, and died. I hope those doctors see this picture, and know wnat a horrible thing they did.
