I’ll be with you in apple blossom time,
I’ll be with you and change your name to mine.
One day in May, I’ll hear you say,
Happy the bride the sun shines on today. ~ from "I’ll Be With You in Apple Blossom Time", (by Fleeson & Von Tilzer, 1920)

If my dad were still alive, my parents would have celebrated 60 years together this past April, and this was ‘their song’. Although it was first recorded in 1920, I’m sure the version they loved was the Andrews Sisters recording, released in 1940. Mom and Dad, this is for you.
