- Lake Estes just outside the town of Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park just before sunrise. Twas a very cold morning, my hands were definitely very frozen, even with gloves.
The famous Stanley Hotel is visible in the distance, it was the inspiration for Stephen King to write "the Shining". It is also considered one of the most "haunted" places in America. I find it merely a quaint place, with rooms from $150 to over $500 a night
