Hamburgs river the Alster froze over last winter and the whole city gathered there, since that is not happening often. They celebrated a little festival right on the frozen river. A rather bizarre sight to me. I wasn’t expecting to see anything out of the ordinary while I walked as a little tourist through the city, accidentally walking in this scene. The man in the middle of the photo is reflecting quite well my feelings on this day. Looking around in awe, sucking in the moment. Pentax K200D
