- I sorely miss miss the smell, taste and sound of the ocean now that I now longer live next to it and painting what I loved so much provides a small measure of comfort. I have always found something indescribably exciting about watching the tension of waves as they build up and then break with such passion. Robert Frost's poem "Shattered Water" seemed a perfect title for this artwork.
