© 2010 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved ~ ~ A vintage ensemble of soaps, decorated with poinsettias for Yuletide, rests on a small cabinet in a Victorian-era dressing room. ~ ~ The image of the queen on the center box appears to be that of Elizabeth, the late Queen Mother of the United Kingdom, The image of the queen on the center box appears to be that of Elizabeth, the late Queen Mother of the United Kingdom, although the appellation 'Queen Regent' above her likeness would be incorrect. The term refers to a queen who rules as a stand-in for an incapacitated monarch or minor child, and the Queen Mother never did.
