Oil on birch panel 12" x 24" This piece is about depression, depression so deep that the color is leached from the world. The only color left are the poppies in his hand. Hope is always there. This piece is painted in the Gamblin Torrit Grey, a special color that is produced only once a year, and varies with each year. The Torrit Grey in this painting is from the 2009 run.
