Meeting Fate ~~ And, having seen his eyes ~~ that locked hers in an endless gaze, ~~ she faced a rushing, all-consuming tide ~~ that swept her, heart and soul, ~~ into a future the led she knew not where. ~~ The thing she did know was ~~ that no lock, no wall, no promise made ~~ could stop her from what awaited in the dark. ~~ And so, trembling but unafraid, ~~ she walked out into the night to grapple fate. ~~ © 2010 RC deWinter
