Normally I do not post commercial photography, however I thought this might be interesting as the lighting for this shoot was a little out of the ordinary. Helicopter is part of photo - shoot for a client that manufactures emergence medical equipment for rescue helicopters. The object was to get the helicopter back lite by the sun. Dramatic sky's are common up here in the spring, so we decided on the month of June. Fill light was the problem. The solution was to give my assistant ( a first time flier) two emergency spot lights to point out the open window of the chase helicopter flying slightly above one in the photograph. Notice the fill light along the top and nose. Tech Stuff Canon Raw processed in Adobe Lightroom.
