Artist Notes
© 2010 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved The Enchantress’s Confession This heart’s a poisoned well, A deep dislimning void, Dip not the cup to drink - Beware the skull and bones. This heart’s a block of ice, A spiderweb of cold, Touch not unless well-gloved, The permafrost can kill. This heart’s a thorny bud, A Rappaccini rose, Breathe not the dense perfume, Lest midnight take you down. This heart’s a sour fruit, A feral juiceless orb, Taste not of leathern flesh, Keep teeth and tongue pristine. This heart’s not meant for man Nor beast, if truth be told, A stone in sorrow’s shoe, An acidsplash – perdu. ~ © 2010 Regina Coeli deWinter ~
