The downpour outside had become merely drizzle. The chilling wind only an occasional gust. Now after filling themselves with hearty fish and chips they began to feel warm and comforted. Yvonne gazed out of the window at the free flying seagulls begging for food across the street. Charlie thoughtfully gazed at Yvonne as he sipped his hot coffee. He reached into his trench coat pocket to pull out a packet of Woodbines. As he struck a match to light her cigarette he thought with a new desire that soon it would be time to return to their cheap but cosy bed and breakfast….........
