© 2010 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved A study of peonies done in my version of 'Dutch Light' - my shorthand term to describe the wonderful atmosphere that Northern European painters - notably Dutch and Flemish - of the 17th century rendered so beautifully in their masterworks. I was first inspired with a love for art by seeing reproductions of many of their paintings in a lavishly-illustrated encyclopedia when I was five or six years old.
