© 2010 RC deWinter ~ All Rights Reserved ~ In the spring time, the only pretty ring time... ~ William Shakespeare, 'It Was a Lover and His Lass' 18th-century English village maidens caper and dance around a traditional maypole under a full moon; each is hoping that as she retraces her steps to unravel the twined ribbons, the name of her true love will be revealed.
