The Lenten Rose, though not a "true" rose, is as beautiful and delicate a blossom as any that nature has to offer. For Dan, the center in full bloom is reminiscent of the members of a gospel choir lifting their voices and hands in praise and worship. Beauty is most certainly in the eyes of the beholder!
