Artist Notes: The Grand Canyon is one of my favorite places and, though the Grand Canyon is certainly the inspiration behind this work, "The Canyon" does not necessarily depict an exact rendition of that great wonder. I wanted to capture the majestic views of seemingly never ending vistas and that awe inspiring sense of depth...that feeling of sitting on top of the world. Yet I also wanted to create an original, unique painting. I hope you enjoy my vision as well as I did painting it.
