Along with his partner Shawn, Dan entered the "2007 Shoot the Hills Photography Competition" in the four county southeastern region of Ohio known as Hocking Hills. The Hocking Hills region and State Park is a magnificent area chock full of rolling landscapes, creeks & streams, lakes, sandstone cliffs, waterfalls and wildlife. Competing photographers were given 24 hours to creat their best images and 4 hours to prep the images for submission for jusdging. Dan did not enter this particular image in the competition for fear of a "glut" of waterfall imagery. Much to his delight, the image was subsequently published in "Photos That Inspire," a joint workshop publication of Photoworkshop.com and Wiley Press.
