from the series "The Eyes' Mind"

The small water feature in the backyard home / studio garden is a treasure trove of material for Dan in all seasons. In the Spring, before the leaves have fully flushed out, the sky and plant life (and an ocaisssional goldfish) add reflective color to the pond's surface and the bubbles from the waterfall dance happily along. Dan is astonished to this day at the figures and faces that appear on the surfaces of the bubbles in various stages of their brief lives, and in this case simply on the surface of the water following the demise of the bubbles. This particular image brought to mind the power of Jimi Hendrix and his signature tune of the same name. Though not from the sea of Jimi's dream, the spirit of the "experience" lives on in the studio's little pond. The garden and all of its contents are a constant source of inspiration and a National Wildlife Federation Certified Backyard Habitat.
