from the series "The Eyes' Mind"

The small water feature in the backyard home / studio garden is a treasure trove of material for Dan in all seasons. In the Spring, before the leaves have fully flushed out, the sky and plant life (and an ocaisssional goldfish) add reflective color to the pond's surface and the bubbles from the waterfall dance happily along. Dan is astonished to this day at the figures and faces that appear on the surfaces of the bubbles in various stages of their brief lives. Despite the moment of shutter release being the annihilation of this cluster of bubbles, the resulting image offered up an image of hope and eternity in the cloaked figure beginning its ascension at the bottom of the frame. Though not "denominationally" religious, Dan recognizes the spiritual in all things natural and recognizes the power of water as a symbol of rebirth, rejuvenation and spiritual cleansing. The garden and all of its contents are a constant source of inspiration and a National Wildlife Federation Certified Backyard Habitat.
