from the series "The Eyes' Mind"

The small water feature in the backyard home / studio garden is a treasure trove of material for Dan in all seasons. In the Spring, before the leaves have fully flushed out, the sky and plant life add reflective color to the pond's surface and the bubbles from the waterfall dance happily along. Dan never knows what or who will appear in the magical waters; on this occaision a contemplative elderly gentleman materialized. While this is a composite from the original image, it was the gentleman's contemplative gaze that gave Dan the idea to repeat the main subject of photograph to accentuate both the physical and contemplative connotations of "reflection." The garden and all of its contents are a constant source of inspiration and a National Wildlife Federation Certified Backyard Habitat.
