Tree spirits abound in the natural world. In fact, they can be found in every tree, and will reveal themselves to you if you respect their homes and surroundings. This particular spirit made himself known to Dan on a leisurely hike near the Studio along the Susquehanna River in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was reminded of Tolkien's Ents from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The Ents can be fierce enemies if they are crossed; awesome allies when treated with the respect and reverence they deserve.
