A full biography is not possible here but I have tried to point to some of the
more significant aspects of my artistic life.
I
have painted sin e I was a child. For over thirty years, painting has been my
biggest passion. Over that time I have been developing an personal language and
I use this language to translate feelings, ideas and concepts into art. I use
acrylics, oils, inks, watercolors or graphite but when vision dictates, no
medium is off-limits. I tend to focus mostly on subjects that cannot be photographed
or seen by the naked eye.
In
my early years I felt that a painting alone is inadequate in expressing a whole
concept. This led me into other artistic areas; music, graphic design, literature
and film. Recently, I am also working with interactive mediums; games, animation
and installations.
I have been involved with a diversity of productions. Working across varying
areas of creativity has opened my artistic expression. Much of my work starts
as a poem, story, song or sound and stretches to a painting or vice versa. My
work on album covers particularly has forced me to break preconceived boundaries,
leading me to a deeper understanding of creativity as a whole.
I also enjoy taking photos. My interest in photography continuously evolves and
it is a medium I will continue to explore.
I
create because I need to. I rarely sell or exhibit my work. Most of the pieces
I create go to my friends and collectors.
