Igor Rivilis is a professional photographer, specializing in Fashion,
Glamour and Beauty photography.
Igor was born in Russia in the 1960s. By the age of 6, when his
grandfather passed away, he inherited his grandfather’s old Russian
Leica knock-off camera. From that point forward, Igor always had a
camera in his hand. At the age of 13 years, Igor immigrated to the
United. What would a new immigrant 13 year old kid do in the states?
He got a job, and started saving money. When Igor finally saved up
enough cash, his first purchase in the US was darkroom equipment.
Through the course of his photographic carer Igor has managed to
travel to many different countries, and has established a large
collection of stock photographs. In 2003, when Igor switched to
digital photography and no longer had to rely on photo labs, he saw
his photography heading in an entirely new direction. Igor got
involved with studio work. He found it exhilarating to be able to
control light only the way it can be controlled in the studio. What
interested him the most was taking pictures of people, and trying to
bring out the beauty in all of them.
Today, Igor Rivilis is a professional freelance photographer working
out of a studio in Metuchen, NJ, where he works on art projects,
commercial projects, modeling portfolio development, and private
glamour work. Igor also sells many of his works as art prints, and
has a large collection of stock photography available for sale.
